As school resumes this fall, students
from kindergarten to high school will get there using transportation
that ranges from school busses and cars, to walking or biking.
Now is a good time for parents to teach and remind their children
how to travel safely to and from school.
Sadly, the beginning of school is when
kids are at increased risk of transportation-related injuries.
Experts say tragic accidents can be avoided when people know
and observe traffic safety rules.
So, whether your kids get to school
by bus, by walking or biking, and for those times when you're
behind the wheel yourself, the following information can help
make all kids safer this year.
